I Was Never Really Here

'I Was Never Really Here' is a series of photomontages using close-up photos of forks. It explores the paradoxical nature of constraints in human experience: the limits we face in life that can both protect us and hold us back. These works examine how our boundaries keep us safe from endless possibilities while also stopping us from fully experiencing life.

The photomontage process turns familiar objects into abstract forms, reflecting our complex relationship with limitation. By transforming ordinary objects, the work challenges not only the visible barriers we encounter, but also the invisible ones we carry within ourselves. It explores the tension between our need for structure and our desire for freedom.
