Michal is a conceptual photographer exploring the core issues of human existence: isolation, meaninglessness, mortality, and freedom.

Michal was born in Wroclaw, Poland. After graduating from two faculties - medicine and psychology - he gave up his medical career, worked for several years as a business psychologist, then changed his career once again and became a user experience designer. Since then, he has been working as a designer and researcher in the technology industry. In 2013, he moved to London, UK, where he lives and works to this day.

Influenced by 20th century literary fiction, especially authors who explore themes of human existence - Samuel Beckett, Fernando Pessoa, Franz Kafka, Thomas Bernhard, Herman Hesse, et al. - Michal tried pursuing writing for years, but the outcomes were never satisfactory. In 2020 he decided to switch focus from the written word to visual art and started experimenting with photography. He quickly realised that this new medium is a much better fit for his artistic sensitivity. Since then, he puts all efforts into developing his photography practice.
